Beginning in 2023, Brigham Young University–Hawaii will hold two commencement ceremonies each year.
Ceremonies will be held in April at the conclusion of winter semester and in December at the conclusion of fall semester.
Students graduating during the spring semester will be invited to participate in either the preceding winter commencement ceremony or the following fall commencement ceremony. For example, students finishing classes in June of 2023 may choose to participate in the Winter 2023 Commencement in April or the Fall 2023 Commencement in December.
Moving to two annual commencement ceremonies will allow the university to focus time and resources toward the larger ceremonies held after the two longer semesters.
