Beginning in fall 2025, BYU–Hawaii will award one-year, full-tuition scholarships to all incoming freshmen from Hawaii who graduated from seminary in 2025 and later.
“BYU–Hawaii is committed to making a Christ-centered education accessible,” said Michael Tejada, administrative vice president. “This new scholarship, specifically for seminary graduates in Hawaii, is one way that we’re making higher education more affordable while acknowledging the personal consecration necessary to graduate from seminary.”
If prospective students plan to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before attending BYU–Hawaii or at any point during their first three semesters, the scholarship can be deferred.
