BYU–Hawaii Hosts Community Open House on June 23

There will be a Community Open House on Tuesday, June 23, at 6:00 p.m. in the Cannon Activities Center. The open house will cover discussion of important themes that emerged at recent community workshops and surveys administered by Envision Lā'ie. These themes include Housing, Jobs, Public Education, Sustainability, Community Design, Transportation, and others.

Envision Lā'ie is a process by which Lā'ie and Ko'olau Loa residents, Brigham Young University–Hawaii, the Polynesian Cultural Center, Hawaii Reserves Inc. and national regional planning experts are working together to study Lā'ie and help plan its future possibilities to become sustainable and preserve and protect this place and the values of the people who live here.

All residents of Ko'olau Loa (including Lā'ie, Hau'ula and Kahuku) are invited and encouraged to attend.
