Dr. Don Colton, professor of computer and information sciences at BYU–Hawaii, will be the speaker at the 2012 David O. McKay Lecture on Thursday, February 9. The lecture will be at 11 AM in the Cannon Activities Center. Dr. Colton’s lecture is entitled “Ambiguity: A Two-Edged Sword.”
The David O. McKay Lecture Series is a long-standing annual tradition at BYU–Hawaii and celebrates the university’s mission of learning, leading and building as embodied by the life and values of President David O. McKay
Dr. Colton serves as Associate Dean in the College of Business, Computing and Government, and has earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, a master’s in business administration, and a Ph.D. in computer science and engineering. He has been at BYU–Hawaii since 1997.
The McKay Lecture Series is sponsored by the university’s Faculty Advisory Council (FAC) and “is designed to afford distinguished members of the faculty the opportunity to present insights from their fields of study and their reflections on the gospel.”
