The Brigham Young University Hawaii volleyball team is ranked second in the NCAA II West Region in the rankings released on October 26, 2011 by the NCAA. The regional rankings determine which teams will move on to post-season play in the division. The top eight teams in the rankings will compete in the post season regional tournament.
The Seasiders are the highest ranked team in the Pacific West Conference in today’s rankings. BYU-Hawaii leads the conference with a 12-1 record and is 13-3 overall. The Seasiders play on Monday October 1, 2011 at home against Academy of Art.
Also in the rankings the Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s soccer team is ranked fourth in the NCAA II West Regional rankings. The Seasiders were 9-1-1 in regional matches at the time of the rankings were released and are the highest ranked team from the Pacific West Conference.
The Lady Seasiders are currently on a road trip fighting to go up in the ranks. The ladies will return Saturday, October 29, 2011 for two more regular season games. The top eight teams in the regional rankings at the end of the season advance to the regional tournament for post season play.
