Inauguration of President John S.K. Kauwe III to be Oct. 19, 2021

Dr. John Sai Keong Kauwe III will be installed as Brigham Young University–Hawaii's eleventh president during a devotional assembly on Tuesday, October 19, at 10 am, in the Cannon Activities Center.

Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and member of the Board of Trustees of Brigham Young University–Hawaii, will install President John S.K. Kauwe and deliver remarks.

Elder Clark G. Gilbert of the Seventy, a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy and Commissioner of Education for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and President Kauwe will also give remarks.

Music will be performed by the BYU–Hawaii Concert Choir, arranged and directed by Erica Glenn accompanied by Stacy McCarrey.

The inauguration ceremony will be broadcast live on the university's live stream webpage. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be limited seating available for ticketed guests only.
