As BYU–Hawaii concludes another remarkable semester, the university celebrates the accomplishments of its newest graduating class—students who have learned, served, and grown in this unique ʻāina at the crossroads of the Pacific.
Steven Kirby Tee, a junior from the Philippines majoring in music with an emphasis in vocal performance, says that coming to BYU–Hawaii was not part of a carefully mapped-out plan—it was the result of small prompts, supportive people, and a lifelong relationship with music that kept leading him forward.
The BYU–Hawaii Theatre Program is set to enchant audiences this week with its fall 2025 production of Into the Woods, a musical that blends fantasy, humor, and heartfelt reflection. Directed by Dr. Michael Morris, assistant professor in the Faculty of Culture, Language & Performing Arts and head of the Theatre Program, the show will run from November 12 to November 15 at the McKay Auditorium, drawing excitement from students, faculty, and community members alike.
