Steven W. Tueller Appointed Vice President of Administration

Brigham Young University–Hawaii is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven W. Tueller as Vice President of Administration. The BYU–Hawaii Board of Trustees approved the appointment following the recommendation of the university search committee. 

As Vice President of Administration, Tueller will serve on the BYU–Hawaii President’s Council and will have responsibility for Financial Services, Budget, Human Resources, IT, and Compliance and Internal Audit. Tueller came to BYU–Hawaii in June of 2006 and currently serves as the Managing Director of Budget and Human Resources.

He has worked within the Church Education System for nearly 30 years and began his career at BYU-Provo in the Physical Facilities Division. He has extensive experience in budgeting, strategic planning, space management, sales and marketing, and has held various positions at BYU-Provo, the CES Commissioner’s Office, and BYU–Hawaii. Tueller served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Osaka Japan. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Development, a master’s degree in International and Area Studies, and an MBA, all from BYU-Provo. He and his wife, Laurie, are the parents of seven children and three grandchildren.
