Calling all NBA fans! Brigham Young University–Hawaii is thrilled to announce its role as the host of the 2023 Utah Jazz Training Camp from Tuesday, October 3, to Saturday, October 7.

Although most practices will remain private, a scrimmage game will be open to BYU–Hawaii students and employees. A current BYUH ID will be required for entry. More information regarding the scrimmage game will be announced as the event approaches.

Similar to last year's back-to-back NCAA basketball tournaments, BYU–Hawaii students will be involved through hands-on academic learning experiences and make active contributions to the events happening that week.

The Jazz are scheduled to play their first preseason game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, October 8, at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. Both teams have announced that all proceeds from Sunday's game will be donated to the Maui Strong Fund to benefit wildfire relief.

Sharing in his excitement for the upcoming events, University President John S.K. Kauwe III stated, "We are delighted to welcome the Utah Jazz to our campus. We’re grateful for their commitment to supporting the families that are suffering in Maui and to providing exciting educational opportunities for our students during their visit."

We hope our campus community can join us in welcoming the Utah Jazz this upcoming October. For more information regarding the events, please visit the NBA website.
