Women's Tennis Team Ends Record Season at National Tournament

The top-ranked Brigham Young University–Hawaii’s women’s tennis team came up short in its attempt to win a national championship on Saturday, May 19, 2012. The team lost 5-2 to third-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State, (Georgia) in the championship match at the NCAA II National Tournament. The Seasiders finished the season with a 29-1 mark while Armstrong finished at 29-0.

Tennis Standout is Finalist for NCAA Woman of the Year

Brigham Young University-Hawaii women’s tennis player Hewenfei (Elwen) Li Boud has been named one of nine finalists for the 2011 NCAA Woman of the Year Award. Boud, the ITA Senior Player of the Year, is one of only three finalists from Division II of the NCAA.

Seasider Men’s Basketball Receives NCAA Bid

The Brigham Young University–Hawaii men’s basketball team is going to the post-season tournament again. The Seasiders received a bid to the NCAA II West Regional Tournament that will be held at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. The Regional Tournament begins Friday, March 12, and runs through Monday, March 15.

BYU–Hawaii Men's Basketball Ranked No. 1 in 2009 Season

The Brigham Young University–Hawaii men's basketball team sits atop the Division II Bulletin preseason national basketball poll released today. It marks the first time in the school's basketball history that the Seasiders have been ranked No. 1. The Seasiders, who finished last season ranked third nationally, finished 27-2 last year and won the Pacific West Conference championship before advancing to the NCAA II West Regional Championship game.

Final-Seconds Put-Back Ends Seasider Men's Dream

The Brigham Young University Hawaii men's basketball team's dream season came to an abrupt end March 18 in the Cannon Activities Center when Cal Poly Pomona's Larry Gordon scored on a put-back with three seconds to play to give the third-seeded Broncos a 59-58 win over the top-seeded Seasiders in the NCAA II West Regional Final.

NCAA Changes Game to Wednesday Night

In a move destined to disappoint Brigham Young University Hawaii men's basketball fans, the NCAA has dictated a change in the NCAA II West Regional Tournament. Accordingly, the regional championship game originally scheduled for Tuesday night at the Cannon Activities Center will now be moved to Wednesday night, March 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the CAC, barring, of course, any further directives from the NCAA.

BYUH Men's Basketball Team Gets NCAA II Regional Bid

As expected, the third-ranked Brigham Young University Hawaii men's basketball team received the number-one seed in the NCAA II West Regional Tournament field announced March 8 by the NCAA. The Seasiders, champions of the Pacific West Conference, will host a four-team sub-regional on Friday and Saturday, March 13-14, and will face seventh-seeded Humboldt State (20-11) in the opening round on Friday at 7:30 pm in the Cannon Activities Center.

St. George, UT--The third-ranked Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s basketball team clinched the Pacific West Conference championship Friday night with a 92-77 victory over Dixie State College on the road. The Seasiders never trailed against the Red Storm in improving to 20-1 for the season and 10-0 in the PacWest while running their school-record winning streak to 17 games.

Belmont, CA—The third-ranked Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s basketball team clinched at least a tie for the Pacific West Conference championship tonight with a rain-delayed, 86-52 victory over Notre Dame de Namur on the road. The Seasiders blew open a tight game late in the first half to improve to 19-1 for the season and 9-0 in the PacWest with their record-breaking 16th consecutive victory.
