BYU–Hawaii Hires New Faculty to Grow Construction Management Program

Brigham Young University–Hawaii is excited to introduce two faculty members to the BYUH ohana for the Fall 2023 Semester. Brian Stone and Paula Nonu are the new professors set to teach courses in the construction and facilities management minor. The minor currently falls under the Faculty of Math & Computing and is overseen by Dean Aaron Curtis. Anticipating the number of students enrolled in the minor to increase, the board has already approved the request to expand it into a new major, with Dr. Stone and Dr. Nonu assisting in its development. Brigham Young University–Hawaii Academic Vice President Isaiah Walker announced two leadership changes in Academics earlier this semester: Dr. Jared Marcum as the interim director of the Edward D. Smith Center for Learning & Teaching and Dr. Eric Rackley as an associate director of the Center for Learning & teaching. Intersections: Journal of Asia Pacific Undergraduate Research Launches Inaugural Print, Showcasing Young Scholars' Discoveries

Last month the Jonathan Nāpela Center for Hawaiian & Pacific Studies hosted an event to celebrate the inaugural print of its new interdisciplinary publication, "Intersections: Journal of Asia Pacific Undergraduate Research." The journal contains student research focusing on Oceania and the Asia Rim and creates a venue for young scholars to share their discoveries with the world. Read Full Story

BYUH Tuition to Increase 3% for 2023-24 Academic Year

Brigham Young University–Hawaii will implement a 3% tuition increase for the 2023-2024 academic year for the fall and winter semesters Fall 2023 Semester. There will be a 2.9% increase fir the Spring 2024 semester. This is an increase of $95 on the per semester rate going from $3,125 to $3,219. Read Full Story
