Since graduating from BYU–Hawaii with a bachelor’s degree in business management, Tserennyam has had many achievements in his career working with different global companies such as Apple, Dell, Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Toshiba, Electrolux, Caterpillar, overseeing all marketing aspects found in a business. The evening of Friday, September 10, HPD came to a university event in response to a noise complaint, worked with school personnel to ensure that those in attendance were in groups of 25 or less and in compliance with applicable restrictions, and then left. Meet Lindsay Hadley, BYU–Hawaii’s new entrepreneur in residence. Throughout Lindsay’s career, she has accomplished wonders through social impact both domestically and abroad. Starting out of college as a humble humanitarian worker, Lindsay sought to fulfill her desire to serve by building schools and water wells in distant countries such as Peru and Kenya. However, in 2008 following the birth of her first son, she realized there was still so much good she wanted to do while having the flexibility to stay close to home and raise a family with her husband, Geoff Hadley.  Read Full Story

COVID-19 Immunization Requirement for Students Beginning Fall 2021

Brigham Young University–Hawaii will add the COVID-19 vaccination to its student health clearance requirements beginning Fall 2021 Semester. This requirement applies to all students and follows current university policies governing student immunizations, including a process by which exemptions for medical or religious reasons may be requested.     Read Full Story

Isaiah Walker Appointed Academic Vice President

President John S.K. Kauwe III announced the appointment of Dr. Isaiah Walker as the Academic Vice President following approval from the BYU–Hawaii Board of Trustees. Walker will be replacing John Bell, who will be retiring after many years of service in the Church Educational System. Walker’s appointment is effective July 1, 2021. Read Full Story

Alison Whiting Appointed Director of Campus Life

This is a new position that will oversee the newly envisioned Hoʻokahua department, which has broad stewardship for the Student Leadership & Service, Seasider Sports & Activities, Residential Life, and the Office of Honor departments. BYUH Tuition to Increase 3% for 2021-22 Academic Year

Brigham Young University–Hawaii will implement a 3% tuition increase for the 2021-2022 academic year beginning with the Fall 2021 Semester. This is an increase of $89 on the per semester rate going from $2,945 to $3,034. Read Full Story
