For the tenth consecutive year, the BYU-Hawaii Students in Free Enterprise(SIFE) team will compete in the organization's U.S. national competition — to be held in Dallas, Texas, from May 6-8 — following an impressive win in the regional March 23 meet on campus. Last year the BYU-Hawaii team placed in the top-40 nationally.

Using stories, and toys as visual aids, Elder Eric G. Stephan, a Service Missionary in the Religion Department, spoke 22 March 2007, at the weekly BYU-Hawaii university devotional.  

As a young missionary in Samoa, Elder Stephan overheard a conversation between another missionary and LeGrand Richards.  The elder was frustrated and angry at the treatment he and his companion had received at the hands of some villagers.  He wanted to shake the dust off his feet and curse the village.  

Elder Richards responded saying, “Elder, the Spirit of the Lord has been working with these people for years and years; after you leave he will continue to work with these people for years and years.  Don’t mess up the work of the Spirit of the Lord for the short time you are here.”

Saturday, 24 March, at 7:30 in the McKay Auditorium on the BYU-Hawaii campus all of these elements will be brought together in the premiere of “Delights and Shadows,” a work written for voice, violin and piano

Marcus Martins, current chair of the Department of Religious Education at BYU-Hawaii has been named as the new chairman of the campus L2 Committee.  According to Keith Roberts (watch video) , Vice President of Academics, this committee, composed of a cross-section of faculty members and staff is critical. 

Spring break in the public schools provided 17 Exercise & Sports Science (EXS) majors an opportunity to put theory into practice by beginning to teach community kids how to swim.

A Microsoft™ program manager reviewed tablet personal computer (PC) software application program interface (API) considerations and development history with BYU-Hawaii students during the School of Computing's March 14 InForm meeting.
James L. Ferrell, managing director of the Arbinger Institute, and author of “The Anatomy of Peace,”and “The Peace Giver” spoke at the weekly BYU-Hawaii University Devotional, Thursday, 15 March.
A husband-and-wife team who operate their own unique company encouraged BYU-Hawaii School of Business students to believe in themselves during their March 13 entrepreneurship lecture.
The BYU-Hawaii women's basketball team finished their inaugural season at second place in the Pacific West Conference with a winning record, and the team's standout power forward, six-foot LaToya "Toya" Wily, ended up with a national number-one NCAA II record for rebounding.
Dr. Heaton, physical science professor at BYU-Hawaii, has compiled statistics regarding all biochemistry graduates from 2001 to 2006. His findings revealed that at least 59% are attending or have completed graduate school and that 22% are employed "in-field".
